leadership and honey cinnamon butter

Hey Hey Hey!!! First official blog post of the school year!!!

I just wanted to update everyone on what I am even doing here. I know I told most of you I was going to a ministry type school thing to learn about leadership.

What does that even mean?!

I know, I know.

Don’t worry that is what I am here to tell you all about!!

I have officially been in class for like 2 weeks and I love it. I feel like I have learned so much and I’m not even a month in!! SO EXCITING.

We go to school Monday-Friday

Monday’s: 9am-5pm. alllllll day y’all. This is an all CGA together day. Adventures in Missions starts off the week, every week with Monday morning worship and it’s amazing. Throughout the rest of the day we do all kinds of things that our leadership that planned for us like different teachings or workshops.

Tuesday’s: 9am-12pm This is still an all CGA together day but this day we go over our super awesome bible study for that week. Our current bible study is called, In & Out: Covenant.

Wednesday’s: 9am-12pm This day is a track specific day which means we are separated by each track that we belong to. I belong to leadership so myself, 13 others, and our leaders Ben and Ashley all get together and discuss the things we are currently talking about.

Thursday’s: 9am-12pm All CGA together day. Usually this day we have what we call community time. So our leadership team will bring people in to talk to us about different tools and things we can learn. Ex: goal setting, time managements, inner healing.

Friday’s: 9am-12pm Track specific days. Again we just go over and discuss whatever topics and thing we have for that week.

Currently we are going over communication. So this week on either Wednesday or Friday we have to do a 15 minute speech about either one thing we would improve in the Adventures community or a leadership topic of our choice, in front of the Adventures staff. WHOOO GROWTH!!!!

In the afternoons we are also required to have a job. I told y’all I got a job at Texas Roadhouse so little update: I am officially done with training and I am on my own as a waitress!!!!! I love the people I work with and the environment that I am in.

So far this has been one of the most challenging things I have done, but I feel like The Lord has been placing all the blessings before me and I am finally learning how to pick them up.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT!!!!
